Rasul Chamber, Floatation Tank, Roman Bath and a Body Massage *Cue the ooh and ahhs!

These were the spa treatments that I received last week (fully paid by my soon-to-be-ex employer, Caxton local media) and these definitely rejuvenated the body & soul.

The Roman Bath was by far my fav as the water temperature was warm and accompanied by several jets to relieve aches and pains (Bonus: the water has some sort of lotion, so your skin feels smooth as silk when you exit the bath)

Rating: 9/10

The Rasul Chamber is described as the following: Turkish Mud Rasul Chamber. Est. Time 60 Min. A Rasul is a chamber where a traditional Arabic body treatment involving steam and mud takes place. Using mud of various colours, ingredients and minerals, you sit in a tiled steam room.

Rating: 7/10

Floatation Tank is pretty much as it sounds – You enter a room with a round “swimming pool” that is knee deep and filled with sea salt water. It was not the best treatment but hey it still worked its magic on the body 🙂

These are just a few of the conditions known to be improved by floating:

  • Stress relief
  • Muscular pain
  • Rheumatism
  • Chronic pain
  • Fatigue Fertility
  • High blood pressure
  • Migraine headache
  • Jet lag
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Back pain
  • Depression
  • Pre-menstrual tension
  • Post-natal depression

Rating 7/10

So, if you are looking for an escape then I highly recommend Octavia’s Day Spa situated at Emperors Palace.
